
Focusing on employment, economic development and education sectors, the Chamber's Workforce initiative integrates the efforts of workforce development organizations, in a demand driven approach, to ensure that workers are prepared to meet the requirements of current and future businesses of the Richmond Region.
Through the Chamber's workforce development efforts, these organizations form a well-connected network that represents a competitive advantage for the region.

The Process
Business and civic leaders, educators, training providers and local community organizations are brought together to identify the workforce development needs of the Richmond region.

The program is supported by area businesses and organizations that include Verizon, Dominion Virginia Power, Philip Morris, J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College, John Tyler Community College, Quimonda North America, MeadWestvaco, SuperValu, Right Management, Capital One, Circuit City, Wachovia Securities, MCV-VCU Health Systems and Genworth.
