Hanover Business Council

HANOVER NEWS & INFORMATION

Business Recyling Forum: Businesses CAN recycle.  The Hanover Business Council will present a Business Recycling Forum on September 25, 2008, 8:30-11:30 a.m. at The Supply Room Company, 14140 N. Washington Highway, Ashland.  This FREE event will provide the opportunity to learn more about business recycling resources available in the Greater Richmond region through presentations from issue experts, the sharing of success stories in the business community, and exhibits for service providers and end users.  In addition, the forum would provide the opportunity to network with and learn from other businesses.

The Recycling committee is in the process of identifying participants for each portion of this event.  If your business already utilizes effective recycling practices, share your story.  If you know of companies providing useful or innovative recycling services and techniques, let us help spread the word.  If you would like to learn more about how you can incorporate recycling in your day-to-day business, please attend.

Please contact Debbie Jackson at (804) 783-9316 or by email for additional information or to share your knowledge.

Business First - Hanover Seeks Volunteers
WHAT IS BUSINESS FIRST GREATER RICHMOND: The Business First initiative is an enhancement of the long-standing business outreach effort that involves the Greater Richmond Partnership, Inc., the Greater Richmond Chamber, and the economic development offices of Chesterfield, Hanover, Henrico and the City of Richmond.

WHAT WE NEED: Volunteers interested in visiting with business leaders to gather information AND business leaders eager to share their story of running a business in the Greater Richmond Region.

HOW YOU BENEFIT: Committed volunteers will learn about their local business community, connect with other business leaders, and potentially introduce their organization to local businesses.

Companies visited will provide direct feedback about the challenges and opportunities to operating a business in the region, as well as allowing us to connect your business with the right information, resources and programs that will assist in improving the business climate.

HOW THE REGION BENEFITS: Everyone wins when local businesses are successful. When you share your story, economic development professionals can better understand individual businesses and their needs.
