HENRICO SCHOOL SUPPLY CHALLENGE :: Help equip students with the tools they need to learn by providing essential school supplies for children in need in Henrico County.  Much needed school supply donations will be accepted at the July and August inVision Henrico Networking Breakfasts. > view supply list 

Bright Beginnings Shopping Night :: The Henrico Business Council invites you to share in a rewarding opportunity.  This summer, the council will support the YMCA of Greater Richmond’s Bright Beginnings Shopping Night program for low income students in Henrico County.  The purpose of the program is to provide disadvantaged children with the clothes and supplies they need to begin the school year. 

The Henrico Business Council will host a shopping night and requests that volunteers from business community join us in accompanying students as they shop for basic clothing.  We invite you to join us for a fun night of shopping on Thursday, August 19.  We will meet at the Staples Mill Target store, 9001 Staples Mill Road, Henrico at 5:30 p.m. in order to be ready for the students’ arrival at 6:00 p.m.  Funding for the program is provided by the YMCA Bright Beginnings.

Henrico Mock Interviews :: Henrico Mock Interviews :: Today’s Students are the Workforce of Tomorrow - Realizing that internships and work experiences often open the doors to better job opportunities and greater success in college, the Henrico Business Council partnered with the Henrico Education Foundation to offer mock interviews at J. R. Tucker High School and Henrico High School.  The mock interview program is designed to provide students the opportunity to practice their interview skills and benefit from feedback from the actual business community. 

Twenty-five business volunteers offered their business expertise and guidance conducting interviews with 71 students at Henrico High School in January. Interviews were also held in February at J. R. Tucker High School providing the opportunity for 43 students to participate in more than 175 interviews.
