Grand Openings
Make the most of your grand opening celebration or ribbon cutting ceremony by partnering with the Chamber. You will increase the visibility of your business and your event among other members and local elected officials.
The Chamber’s services include:
- Pre-event publicity in Chamber’s Member News
- Event planning document
- Invitation mailing listS - addresses and phone numbers for local elected officials and Business Council Cabinet members in the city of Richmond and counties of Henrico, Hanover and Chesterfield. NOTE: It is Chamber policy not to disclose the e-mail addresses of member organizations
- Staff person to take photos of the event and its participants. The photos will be accessible to the member via an online photo gallery and will be published on the Chamber website
- Chamber representation/speaker (if applicable)
- Ribbon cutting services (ribbon and oversized scissors provided)
- Free custom banner by FastSigns (link to FastSigns/Ed Fagenson)
- Post-event coverage in Grand Opening section of Chamber web site
Member's provide:
- Date and time of event. Please coordinate with the Chamber to avoid conflicts
- An announcement for Chamber’s weekly e-newsletter.
- Event promotions including the production and distribution of invitations to be mailed to all attendees
- Background information about member organization and agenda (with times) for guest speakers in advance of the event in order for speaker(s) to prepare remarks
Members must be:
- Within the first year of their business opening;
- Within one year of purchasing an existing business; or
- An existing business opening a new business location.
