InterCity Visit

INTERCITY VISIT 2010 :: INSPIRED BY RALEIGH / DURHAM, NORTH CAROLINA

We will be "Inspired by Raleigh / Durham" as our 18th InterCity Visit offers Richmonders a Capital to Capital travel experience to the Research Triangle.

The goals of the Chamber’s Annual InterCity Visit are to provide a unique opportunity to accomplish three things:
1. Strengthen relationships with a dynamic network of regional leaders. The ICV provides an exclusive experience to deepen bonds with those who play a significant role in shaping our Capital Area Region.

2. Benchmark best practices of a peer region.
The ICV is a catalyst for enhancing our region’s future performance by: identifying best practices; examining specific strategies and tactics; and measuring, contrasting and comparing our key projects and initiatives against those in the site community.

3. Embrace actions we can import.
The ICV offers an opportunity to examine specific strategies and tactics in those “areas of excellence” offered by the ICV site. We’ll use these lessons to advance the Chamber’s key priorities.

DID YOU KNOW?
• Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill make up the three historically primary cities of the Research Triangle metropolitan region.
• The regional nickname of “The Triangle” originated after the 1959 creation of the Research Triangle Park.
