Awards and Recognition

Because everyone wants to work at a great company and live in a robust community, the Chamber recognizes and highlights businesses that create environments that inspire and value employees and encourage innovation, engagement and personal and professional growth.

All nominees are thoroughly vetted through volunteer selection committees. Finalists are notified in  late summer. Winners are announced at the IMPACT Awards dinner in the Fall.

Chamber Awards

• The IMPACT Award is the Chamber's premier award and honors the ways in which nominated businesses throughout the region are making an impact on their industries, communities and/or employees with new products, services, ideas or contributions to the Greater Richmond community. Submit by April 30. 

• The Innovation Award was created by our i.e.* initiative to recognize an organization in the Richmond Region that has been in business 2-5 years and has demonstrated “out of the box” thinking and amazing growth, innovation and potential. NEW in 2013! Submit by April 30. 

• YP Workplace Award is awarded to an organization for proactively attracting and retaining young professionals in the region, valuing their input and encouraging growth and work/life balance.

• Business Council Awards recognize an outstanding company located in each of the following jurisdictions: Henrico, Hanover, Chesterfield and the City of Richmond.

• The Mark Weiss Hanover Workforce Awards recognize Hanover organizations that have achieved success in workforce practices in areas such as recruiting, hiring, training, retaining, innovative workplace environments, or other strategies that enable the organization to excel in developing an effective, world-class workforce. Winners will be recognized in both small and large organization categories at the Marc Weiss Hanover Workforce Awards & Forum. Submit by May 3.

• Bernard L. Savage Community Service Award recognizes an individual for selflessly giving time, talent or other resources to promote and enhance the quality of life in Chesterfield County.
• Henrico Annual Awards honor a Henrico Community Leader of the Year and an Henrico Business Leader of the Year.
