Between the abundant tattoo shops and increasing number of murals, RVA is a city that has embraced its pulsating art scene. This is further echoed in the recent ground breaking of VCU’s Institute for Contemporary Art (ICA). This 35 million dollar project located at the intersection of Belvidere and Broad, promises to be innovative, ever-changing and always challenging. The Director of the ICA, Dr. Lisa Freiman will share her leadership vision for the project as well as give attendees a first look at how the ICA will become a catalyst for new experiences that will enrich the lives of Richmonders, students and tourists alike. Check out the progress already happening on the site’s webcam!
