:: INTERCITY VISIT 2010 RE-CAP

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
Two weeks ago, I had the pleasure of taking a road trip with a group of our members to Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina’s Capital region, as part of the Chamber 2010 Inter City Visit. While there, we were given an opportunity to witness the accomplishments of business, government and non-profits all pulling together for the greater good of their metropolitan area.

It was an inspirational and rewarding experience that highlighted innovation, creativity, vision and hard work at its best. There’s no question it also provided an excellent snapshot into the possibilities of our working together here in our own great region.

Tom Silvestri, President and Publisher of the Richmond Times-Dispatch and co-chair (along with Jim Holland, Chesterfield County Supervisor) for this year’s event, drafted a summary of the 2010 visit for Sunday’s Commentary Section in the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
