JOIN THE GRCC UKROP’S 10K TEAM AND HELP PUT CANCER ON THE RUN As you may know, the Ukrop’s Monument Avenue 10K is a highly popular local race that in just a few short years has garnered national recognition with racers from across the country. Up to 35,000 participants make their way down historic Monument Avenue each Spring (March 27th to be exact), in what USA Today most recently named as one of the “10 great places for runners to hit the road.” The Chamber would like to do their part and support the efforts behind this milestone event – supporting corporate wellness in our business community and helping to raise funds for Massey Cancer Center (the official charity of the Race) in the process. We’d like to invite you to be a part of our team, and have created a team page to make the process as simple as possible. If you would like to join the Chamber team and enter the 10K race: #1) First, sign up for the 10K race here. #2) Then, join the Chamber team here. (Note: you can still sign up for the Chamber team and support the cause without participating in the race itself) Need a little incentive beyond that New Year’s resolution to get healthier and help raise money for a good cause? The chamber member who signs up the most participants to join the Chamber team will win a $25 gift certificate of their choice.
